Assignment writing
August 1st, 2010The assignments our employer gives us a deadline to finish, are not they a kind of homework? Of course they are. They seek the same responsibility and commitment our teachers sought from us when they gave us homework at the end of the lesson. The process of proving the responsibility and commitment to our task-givers is open throughout our working life.
Following the guideline that we provide will help you be more effective in accomplishing the writing assignments your employer gives you.
The first and golden rule is not to wait until the last minute to start with the assignment, the fact is we never have enough time no matter what we think. Start early, finish faster and have a rest, you deserved it.
Carefully read the question or topic you are going to be writing about. Understanding the topic well might help you a lot in the steps that follow. Analyze that one sentence and make your writing assignment the most faithful to the topic possible.
The next step is doing the research on the subject you are going to be writing about. You can find sources of data in the library, from notes from a lecture, from the internet, and even from doing survey and interviewing people, of course if you have the time.
However, this is not done. You should examine well all the data you have gathered and select which of them are really relevant for the topic you are going to be writing about.
Next thing you should do is plan your writing assignment. After you have selected the necessary information and studied them well, take a piece of paper and write an outline for your assignment. This will be the plan you should stick to when writing the first draft which is the next step.
After you have written the draft, your job is still far from finished. The first draft should be revised in case of any misspellings pr grammatical errors. After you have done that, dedicate some time for the content. If it answers the questions the topic enforces and is written in comprehensible language, you can have a rest because your job is done.
